Well during the last lecture I have to say that I realised my mass customisation tool lacked some - finess. Specifically the example of Cate Reas's dresses, caused me to realise that I was providing the user with to many options for cutomisation; and while thats one way of working it's not a good method for; repeat business, image, style, recognisability, creating a brand. Refinement - & thoughts from feedback

Ok in my presentation I talked about using slide rules so that the consumers could change and alter the dimensions of the predefined options. Think of it similar to the second life technology, we were using to customise our avatars in 1st semester. I thought of this idea while I was on the train into uni on monday, which is why it isn't written in my presentation 2 report.

Assignment 2 - Report

The mass customisation of a wedding dress involves the choice in style (top and skirt), choice of materials, choice of colour, the addition of extras such as sleeves, laces, embroidery or beading (the designs of these can also be customized). After investigation into the customisation programs available for the design of wedding dresses, one program created for custom designs of formal dresses had a usable customisation platform.
