My idea for a system for mass customisation was for customisable mobile phones.
Mobile phones are used by pretty much everyone in developed countries and the number of people using them grows daily. As the potential commercial base of a system like this would be extremely large, a very simple and easy to use customisation system would need to be implemented to allow all potential customers to be able to use it and experiment with it with ease.

There are many ways to customise your mobile post-purchase(keyrings, custom covers, downloadable applications, etc.), but there are only a few options available for pre-purchase customisation, which is where I want to focus my concept.
