Jewellery Customization

My idea for a mass customization tool is a browser-based CAD ring design tool, and by attaching a link to an expert jewellery designer or craftsman, I hope to create a mass customization tool that can be utilised by anyone, with any amount of design experience, to create a functional and unique piece of jewellery. This tool will create a realtime 3D wireframe model, as well as be albe to generate low quality rendered images where needed to assist in customer final product visualization.

Mass Customization for Rings
I have chosen to focus my research in regards to mass customization tools on jewellery, in particular ring design (be it engagement or otherwise), as I feel this is a field of objects that would benefit greatly in terms of consumer satisfaction with the addition of some form of mass customization tool.
